25C 1857 PCGS PR65

Not your typical drab or dull weakly mirrored 1857. Most examples we see are lifeless and have no mirrors-not this piece! Surprising deep mirrors beam from all over. They look like a freshly formed sheet of ice. The mirrors are also crystal clear and have zero problems. The reflection is also surprisingly strong. Both sides are a wonderful mix of totally original moderate forest olive green/pale navy/purple colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is very pretty! PCGS 4, NGC 5, CAC 3. The last PCGS PR65 CAC (not this coin) to sell at auction brought $9,400.00 04/2013. Think about it-2.5 years and no other PCGS piece has sold via auction. That is RARE! This is the exact type of coins that the market has spanked hard over the past year. It will make a wonderful addition to any GEM Proof 25C set or just as a great coin to own.
