Booming reflectivity and strong contrast between the watery mirror fields and the frosted devices. Both of the 8s in the date show repunch of the die. The fields and devices are super clean and attractive. The obverse is essentially white save for deep blue and russet around the rims and reaching into the stars. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and stand out with thick white frost. The eye appeal is impressive plus!
Only 975 Proofs were struck. PCGS 20, NGC 10, CAC 11 (clearly resubs). Only 5 examples have graded PR66+ CAM at PCGS. In 10/2019 this coin sold for $4,112.00.
