At first glance you can tell this magnificent GEM is virtually perfect. Only after you study it hard do you realize, it is not virtually perfect-it IS perfect! We rank it a +++, to be clear, PCGS does not (and we tried 2x).
Deep, shimmering mirrors are crystal clear, ultra clean, and have bold reflectivity. Use a strong glass and look all day-this coin has NO problems. A gorgeous and totally ORIGINAL mix of royal blue/magenta/violet sort of circle the obverse and roll free form with some gold on the reverse. In fact when you twirl the coin, the mirrors have a slight “watery roll” but look like a freshly formed sheet of ice. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is just WOW all the way!
ONLY 590 were ever minted. PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 3. There is no auction record for any PCGS piece selling prior to this one. The NGC NON CAC Newman coin brought $15,275.00 back in 11/2013 Heritage. This beauty is worth far more!
