No question this coin cameo out of a carefully saved cardboard Mint Set holder. It has that “look”. The quality is incredible!
We do not see why this coin did not + (no promises). We inspected the surfaces multiple times with a strong glass. There are ZERO impairments or even lines.The luster of course is strong and beams from all over. GEM original colors of iridescent violet/gold/pale green/lilac splash all over. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal and quality of this coin are breathtaking!
PCGS 4, NGC 7, CAC 2. A NON CAC PCGS MS68 brought $7,200.00 06/2019. This was the last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction. In 2013 it brought $9,400.00. You can’t buy another 1947S looking like this! In fact, you can’t buy many Washington Quarters looking like this period!
