2C 1869 PCGS PR65 RD

This is a superb GEM Proof 2C piece. The mirrors are totally GEM caliber and beam boldly from all over. The mirrors are clean and clear. If you twirl the coin, the mirrors look like a freshly formed red sheet of ice.  All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is SUPERB and superior to so many examples we have seen. Only 600 were minted. PCGS 48, NGC 14, CAC 6. Only TWO PCGS/CAC coins have ever sold in auction: one in $2,820 in January 2015 and the other in August 2011 for $3,738.
