2C 1871 PCGS PR66RD

These have always been one of our favorite coins. Legend has also built the FINEST EVER PR 2C set-the Simpson Collection. We know PR 2C pieces! NONE are common in GEM-especially in SUPERB GEM PROOF 66!

This is virtually a glow in the dark monster! Electric like mirrors are deep, clear, and have stunning reflectivity. Overall, they are clean, however there are a few minuscule flecks hidden in the shield (you absolutely need a glass to see them). The color is a VERY stable GEM MINT RED which is slightly darker on the reverse. Every detail is frosty and is needle sharp. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 12, NGC 6, CAC 3. The last one to appear in major auction was a NON CAC piece which brought $13,800.00 09/2010 Heritage. We can’t stress enough what a really great coin this is!
