$3 1863 PCGS MS66+

$65,000.00

Having just bought the monster 1863, 1867, and 1882 PCGS MS67 CAC’s out of the FUN Sale for world record prices, we knew immediately this was a great coin-and it was at a really great price!

The quality is SUPER HIGH END. Only with a glass can you see Mint made die clashing-which we think is why PCGS would not designate the coin a MS67. There also are light die striations (also Mint made) you need a glass to see. To the naked eye the coin does look satiny and clean. The luster is strong and nicely illuminates the ORIGINAL light two tone orange/yellow gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!

ONLY 5000 were ever minted of this hard to find Civil War date. PCGS 4, NGC 4, CAC 1. This is the ONLY PCGS MS66+. The MS67 sold for a whopping $211,500.00 at the 2014 FUN Sale. There has been NO record of ANY 1863 MS66 PCGS OR NGC CAC piece ever selling-because this is the only and it is fresh to the market. Opportunity knocks loud for any $3 or Civil War era collector.
