$3 1867 PCGS MS62

We have actually resubmitted this coin TWICE seeking an MS63. Not even a +. We surrender! While it may never 62+ or 63, it is one heck of a coin!

Boldly semi-prooflike surfaces are surprisingly clean overall. You can see some MINT MADE die striations, but there are NO big hits. An intense luster also shows off gorgeous ORIGINAL two tone bright yellow/orange gold colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is spectacular!

ONLY 2600 were ever minted. This is a VERY underrated date! PCGS 9, NGC 9, CAC 3 (we think this coin is 2 of the beans). PCGS has only graded 7 coins higher (possibly). The last one to sell in major auction was a PCGS NON CAC piece. That brought $8,050.00 12/2011-a long time ago! if your looking for a “different” kind of gold coin, you should check this out!
