This is a gorgeous and totally original SUPER HIGH END Civil War date. It does come super close to MS67 quality.
The surfaces are exceedingly clean and have a satiny texture. Only with a strong glass can you see the light die clashing (Mint Made) and die lines. A full luster beams from all over. Both sides are an original white with highlights of pretty light greenish gold. All of the details are very well struck. The eye appeal is SUPER!
PCGS 97, NGC 67, CAC 34. PCGS has graded 15 coins in MS66+. One has not been sold via auction since 2016. The current Collector’s Universe Value is $2,400.00. We can’t get over how reasonable these are in value-especially for an OBSOLETE Civil War era coin that is in top condition.
