3CS 1865 PCGS MS66

We grade this coin a MS67. We won’t crack it out because PCGS is insanely tight. They probably didn’t like all the clash marks (which are all mint made).

As we said, we see no reason why thsi coin is only an MS66. The surfaces (save for the clash marks) are PERFECTLY clean. There some striations (which are also mint made) visible. A booming luster enhances the wild blue/purple/violet toning mix that is even on both sides. Also, every detail is pinpoint sharp in strike. The eye appeal is awesome!

ONLY 8000 were ever minted. PCGS 5, NGC 15. PCGS has graded only 3 coins higher. We’d be a buyer of a CAC MS67 for $12,500.00. Anyone want to sell???
