If you did not know how to grade, you would either call this a GEM Proof or a GEM BU with contrast. Overall, the surfaces are clean. If you use a strong glass, you can see light lines. Remarkably, there are NO scuffs. Another incredible point-the surfaces are boldly semi-prooflike. You do not have to imagine the mirrors. Add an intense luster and this coin can almost blind you! Both sides are a GEM yellow gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are extremely well struck. The eye appeal is so tremendous, we could look at this coin all day!
PCGS 33, NGC 20, CAC 15. The last PCGS CAC piece sold over 3 years ago. Fast forward, we have not seen any early gold that looks like this in recent times. Yes, we paid a little stronger-because this coin really does stand out. We assure you, this is a much tougher coin to find than the pops indicate!
