C+D Mint coins are not typical for us to deal in unless they are special. Of course this coin is super special! Plus it was a dealers personal coin. When we call a coin GEM AU, that means the surfaces and all technical points are as good as you will see for the grade. This coin has excellent surfaces that are clean and pretty smooth. You would have to use a really powerful glass to see just a few tiny ticks. A slight luster is visible both sides are evenly bathed in a warm even deeper gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is really terrific! PCGS 14, NGC 29, CAC 2. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $21,738.00 back in 08/2014. Prior to that, NO PCGS coins have any auction records of selling. Even in AU58-the last auction record we could find was back in 2007! Do NOT let the pops fool you, there is little question as this coins rarity.
