$5 1855-S PCGS AU53 SS CENTRAL AMERICA

If we did not tell you, you would never know this coin sat under the ocean for 100+ years. We actually do consider his a VERY choice AU piece that is near GEM! Outstanding surfaces are really all there and then some. Only with a strong glass can you see a few microscopic ticks/lines. You can tell the coin has had a very light dipping-but nothing harsh. The luster is unusually strong and beams from all over. Both sides are a brighter yellow gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are incredibly well struck. The wear is extremely light.This coin has really great eye appeal. Ship Wreck Pops, PCGS 3 w/12 higher. The regular PCGS pops; PCGS 14, NGC 16, CAC 3 (this does include all shipwreck coins).  Even with the Ship of Gold coins, this is still a rare date in all grades of AU. NO PCGS CAC AU53 has ever been sold via auction. Keep in mind, once this small group is sold-they are all gone!
