This is one of those coins you just know to buy when you see it. It just stood out in a dealers box like a little headlight!
No question this coin really is a MS64+! There are just a few teenie ticks and cuts scattered around that keep it from a full MS65 designation. The bold prooflike mirrors and full booming luster are really eye popping. The gold is bright gold and there are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is tremendous!
PCGS 72/8, NGC 120/5, CAC 13 (all). In MS65 PCGS has only graded 2 with NONE higher. An MS64+ CAC did sell in a major auction for $1,725.00 06/11 heritage. Next step up is $8,000.00+ (but non 65’s are CAC).
