This is a wonderful fresh and frosty GEM.
The surfaces are pretty clean overall. Only with a strong glass can you see some light frost breaks and a few scattered super tiny ticks. No question, this coin still has its “original skin” and has not been dipped or messed with. A strong luster beams from all over. Both sides are an even original gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are are sharply struck and stand out. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 153, NGC 609, CAC 53. Do not be fooled by the pops, this date and grade does not appear as often as you think. There is no date premium attached either! Gold coins in GEM like this just seem too cheap right now. Gold certainly is not anywhere near any highs!
