Superb GEM gold pieces like this certainly do NOT appear much any more. This coin was worth the wait!
Superb surfaces appear clean and satiny smooth. Only when using a strong glass can you see a few frost breaks and microscopic scattered ticks. Nothing is big or stands out. A terrific glowing luster beams from all over. Both sides are a strong original yellow gold color. Generally there are no spot or discolorations-although ONLY under a glass can you find a microscopic dirt spot or two. Miss Liberty and the details are super frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 34, NGC 23, CAC 14. PCGS has graded 11 in MS66+ (clearly several resubs). The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $5,640.00 10/2016. Do not believe the pops, this date is one we never see-or else we’d have owned others (assuming they were nice).
