$5 1909D PCGS MS65+

This coin is above and beyond exceptional for the date! It is the very real deal for an MS65+. Even though this date is available in the lower grades, once you hit MS65, it is impossible to find nice. PCGS and CAC showed this GEM no mercy! The surfaces are super clean and are satiny smooth. Even using a strong glass you be ever so impressed. A strong luster brings out the beautiful and totally original gold colors. There are NO spots or stains. The Indian is lightly frosty and has a crisp sharp strike. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 124, NGC 81, CAC 11. PCGS has graded only 4 in MS65+ with just 5 in MS66 (NONE of which have been CAC’d). This was the first 09D MS65+ to sell in auction. If a PCGS CAC MS66 were to exist, it would easily run $30-$35,000.00. There is a reason why after 35+ years of operation there are only 4 of these. The date simply does not come nice in GEM!
