We bought this coin from one of the sharpest collectors in coins. He only buys SUPER HIGH-END EYE APPEALING coins.
There is a small HIDDEN scratch on the reverse that probably is what keeps it as a 65+. Overall, the surfaces are exceedingly clean and semi satiny smooth. An above average luster shows off beautiful pale two tone original gold/orange gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are frosty and have crisp sharp strikes. The eye appeal is superb!
PCGS 67, NGC 50, CAC 22. PCGS has graded only 6 coins MS65+. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $17,625.00 04/2017. Now that gold is inching up, there is still some time to buy. TRUE GEM $5 Indians like this-do NOT exist!
