Legend Numismatics is pleased to own and offer an amazing specimen of a tremendously rare and UNDERvalued series-a $5 Matte PR Gold Indian.
Unquestionably, this coin is totally ORIGINAL. The Matte surfaces are as pristine as the day they were added at the Mint. Both sides are smooth and have NO major problems. The color is a known color for 1913’s-a rich deep olive gold. Every detail looks like is is chisled perfect in strike. The eye appeal is fabulous!
ONLY 99 pieces were ever minted. Sadly, we estimate that due to conservation and general abuse, less than HALF survive in ORIGINAL condition. So far this is the ONLY PR66+ graded at PCGS (NGC has one). The regular pops are : PCGS 8, NGC 12, CAC 2.
A PCGS PR67 NON CAC coin would probably cost $90,000.00-if you can find one. CAC has stickered NONE in PR67. Matte Proof coins like this have been appearing less and less each year now. The potential in this series is tremendous!
