$5 1914-S PCGS MS64

$92,500.00

Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer probably the toughest date to find an MS63 and higher for $5 Indians. The last one we bought was in 2008-and it was NGC (it has been in a collection ever since). this coin will make any GEM $5 Indian set proud, The quality is HIGH END! For what ever reason, these did not come on great planchets or had striking problems. This coin has no striking issues. The planchet seems slightly rough. Overall, the coin is clean. Only when using a strong glass can you see a few small cuts and lines. NONE are serious. A moderate but glowing luster does beam well from all over. Both sides re a totally original deeper gold color with a pinch of copper toning in the date. No question this coin is 100% original. All of the details are extremely well struck and do offer light frost. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 6, NGC 5, CAC 3. NO PCGS CAC piece has ever been sold via auction.  A PCGS CAC MS64+ sold for $92,000.00-in 2011-8+ years ago!!!! Never saw that coin surface. The NGC coin we paid $60,000.00 in 2008 is the other CAC piece-and that is locked away in a collection. This is the ONLY PCGS CAC piece you can buy. Even in MS65, we paid $146,875.00 in 06/2016 for the lone CAC bean coin which is now in The Hedgie Collection and is not for sale in our lifetime. Legend knows this date well. We paid strong because this is it. If you collect $5 Indians, you need to see it and buy it!
