50C 1824 PCGS MS65+ 0-117
This is one of those coins that looks like it was put away right after it was made. There is no other way to figure how it has survived 195 years in a HIGH END GEM condition!
Absolutely immaculate surfaces really have no visible flaws. Even when using a strong glass you only become even more impressed. The luster is moderate but you can see it as it peeks through the toning. Both sides are a totally original mix of pale olive/reddish gold/blue/golden brown colors. This is NOT a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do standout. The eye appeal is really superb!
PCGS 13, NGC 16, CAC 8. PCGS has graded only 2 in MS65+. This coin last sold for $13,200.00 in 08/2018. It is our strong opinion the price of this coin is slightly deflated and it should be worth $15-$17,000.00 (even Collectors Universe values the coin at $17,500.00). It has so much going for it in rarity, quality, and eye appeal. We just do not see coins like this being offered any more.
