50C 1830 PCGS PR62+ CAMEO 0-103

$43,500.00

This WONDER coin has quality that is unquestionably SUPER HIGH END and more then worthy for the +designation! We recently purchased this coin from the collector who bought it out of the 2014 Greensboro Collection Auction. Here is the description from the sale: The bright surfaces of this example are faintly toned in a soft gold color, and a mild cameo contrast is established between the lightly frosted devices and the proof finish on the fields. The design elements are sharply struck, save for softness in the star centers along the right obverse border, and on the upper arrowhead. The milling is virtually complete on both sides, and the design features are nicely centered on the planchet. No significant contact marks are apparent on either side, though a few wispy hairlines in the fields preclude a higher grade. This will be a marvelous addition to a Capped Bust half dollar collection. We’d like to ad, this coin is a very real deal proof.  The mirrors dazzle and are like a freshly formed sheet of ice. The contrast is vivid and you don’t have to imagine it. Estimated ONLY 10 were ever minted. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. There is one PCGS graded Proof 63 and that is it. This coin has been off the market since 2013. Prior to that , its last appearance was in 2004. So this coin is VERY fresh to the market. Only 2 ever graded and possibly 5 known and this beast of a piece is valued UNDER $50,000.00? SEEMS RIDICULOUS CHEAP. This is not only a Bust Half Collectors dream coin and a coin of a lifetime for many-it will fit into ANY GEM set or anything!
