We do not just consider this a GEM AU-we fully rank it a SUPERB GEM AU! Hard to imagine there could ever be a better AU58. Prior to third party grading, we bet this coin was called MS. It certainly would not be a stretch.
Out of this world surfaces are the definition of perfection. Even if you use a neutron microscope, you will not find a single flaw of ANY size, ANY where. A moderate luster can be seen Both sides are evenly blanketed by a moderate mix of totally original deep pewter/champagne/pale deep olive colors. This is NOT a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details are actually fully struck. it is near impossible to find any wear (there certainly are NO discolorations of the high points). The eye appeal is super pleasing!
PCGS 3, NGC 4, CAC 3(we assume there is one resubmission). The lone CAC MS61 to sell was a NGC piece. That brought $41,125.00 10/2014. It should also be noted, these are so rare in AU55-the last PCGS piece sold in 2005! We can not stress how rare a PCGS CAC piece is today. In a major sale there would be furious bidding for this coin. We bought it right and are offering right!
THE IMAGE DOES NOT DO THIS COIN FULL JUSTICE
