50C 1857 PCGS PR64
VERY HIGH END quality. There is no reason not to love this GEM! It also borders on Cameo quality too.
Superior mirrors are deep and glow boldly from all over. Just a few wispy light lines are visible. NONE are serious or stand out (its from strong dies polishing). When you twirl the coin the mirrors have a slight rolling “watery” look. Both sides have extremely pretty original deep pewter/pale mauve color. This coin is no where near dull or drab. Miss Liberty and the details are boldly frosted with a thick silver and are fully struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!
It is estimated 25-50 were minted. PCGS 14, NGC 12, CAC 11. We believe this coin has been resubmitted multiple times seeking a PR65 (not by us). The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $14,688.00 in 2015. The pop reports are just wrong-we think by as much as 50%. We last owned one of these in 2014. Do NOT underestimate the rarity here!
