We wonder how this coin has managed to sit somewhere and remain so perfect for over 132 years!
The image may play them up more than they really show-there are numerous scattered teenie toning dots scattered on both sides. The surfaces do appear smooth and clean. A strong luster nicely shows off the even lavender/pale blue/champagne/gold/pewter colors. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do appear boldly. There is no question as to this coin total originality. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 14, NGC 17, CAC 2. In 2007 one sold for $5,865.00 Heritage-we found no other auction records. GEM MS Seated Halves are so undervalued in today’s marketplace (in our opinion).
