50C 1878 PCGS MS66

An amazing high end piece that has been carefully stored since it left the mint 139 years ago! Immaculate surfaces are smooth and have not even the smallest distraction anywhere. Using a strong glass will only impress you even more. A strong luster enhances the totally original colors of olive/pale evergreen/light purple that dominate the obverse. The reverse has the same shades only darker (probably sat on felt). Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal is terrific! PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 2. PCGS  has graded only one MS66+ higher. This piece offered here was the last PCGS CAC coin to sell in auction. It brought $21,150 in June 2014. With ALL great MS Seated coins being slapped down so hard by the market, NOW is the best time to buy them.
