50C 1878 PCGS PR66 CAMEO

Love peripheral toning? This bold SUPERB GEM will more then set your heart pounding! Deep mirrors beam so boldly you can see them from feet away.  The mirrors are super clean, have great clarity, and are incredibly reflective. If you twirl the coin, the mirrors look “watery”. Both sides are framed by a wonderful halo of original toning in rainbow blue/gold/violet hues. Well struck devices are highly frosted and provide a beautiful bold contrast. The eye appeal is super flashy and gorgeous. Only 800 were struck. PCGS 6, NGC 10, CAC 4. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell brought $6,168.00 in our July 2017 Regency Auction. It did not have the dramatic toning that the presently offered SUPERB GEM does. Collector’s Universe lists a value of $7,750 in their current Price Guide. Only 3 are graded finer in the CAMEO category.
