WOW! This is one heck of an MS Seated Half!
As you would expect because of the small mintage, this coin is FULLY prooflike. The mirrors are about 4″ deep, have great clarity, and of course have awesome reflectivity. A few trivial ticks are scattered about-but to the naked eye the surfaces appear clean. Of course the luster/flash is tremendous. Miss Liberty and the details are fully frosted and have remarkable full strikes. The eye appeal is absolutely sensational!
Only 5000 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 4, NGC 5, CAC 5. These are extremely rare. The last one of these to have sold in a major auction-was back in 2005! Back then it sold for $5,520.00 ANR. PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher-one of which SOLD for $48,875.00 11/10. Opportunity knocks loud for any serious MS Seated Half specialist!
