50C 1895 PCGS PR66
Technically, this coin is all there and then some. PCGS probably felt the colors were a little too dark. It is really a borderline PR67!
Deep, clear, super clean, and powerfully reflective mirrors highlight both sides. They very much give life to deeper (but not black or dull) colors of navy/purple/golden brown. Even using a strong glass you will not see any real imperfections anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike. The eye appeal is exceptional!
Only 880 were ever minted. PCGS 23, NGc 30, CAC 4. Auction records do not due this coin any justice (the last one sold-a NON CAC coin was back in 2009 for $3,738.00 Heritage).
We strongly believe this series (along with the other denominations of Barber coins are grossly UNDERvalued in today’s market place. Opportunity can NOT knock any harder!
