50C 1905-O PCGS MS68 DUCKOR/AKERS
Hard to believe, the only reason why this coin is for sale-we sold our client the ultimate MS Barber Half-the 1905 Half PCGS MS68+ CAC! This coin is no slouch either.
Generally O Mints come a little soft and with marginal color. This coin is the furthest opposite and is the life of the party. Yes, it can even dance and sing!
It will never happen, but if we had seen this coin an MS69 holder, we would not flinch. Clear cut perfection like this is extremely rare. The surfaces are 100% market, scuff, and line free. Look as long and hard as you can-there really is NOTHING to find. They have a wonderful soft velvety texture. A superior INTENSE glowing luster radiates vividly and enhances the gorgeous colors of original green/blue/champagne on the obverse. The reverse has jaw dropping rings of blue/lime/pale violet that open into pale gold centers. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have exceptional strikes. They eye appeal is awesome!
PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. This was purchased by our customer in 1/2019 out of A Legend Auction for $61,688.00 While the other MS68 (the Eliasberg piece is nice, thus coin is way more colorful and quality oriented. Prior to this coin hitting the market, the Eliasberg piece sold for $56,400.00 in a weak sale 01/2015. The piece offered here sold out of the Duckor sale for $63,250.00 back on 08/2010. You can’t buy quality like this very often-and the market has put a great coin like this on sale!
Good luck finding another PCGS CAC MS68-especially at this price!
