This is a superb and splendid GEM. It really does border on MS68!
Absolutely wonderful surfaces are what perfection on a MS Barber Half should look like. The texture is super smooth. We looked really hard using a strong glass and found NO imperfections anywhere. A strong glowing type luster beams from all over. Both sides enjoy moderate shades of totally original green/gold/blue pale olive colors. The reverse has a stunning circular pattern. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is totally enjoyable!
PCGS 14, NGC 5, CAC 10. PCGS graded this coin the lone MS67+. There is one PCGS CAC MS68 (which we sold in 2013 for a sum ABOVE $50,000.00). We love so much about the coin-especially it being from the long defunct New Orleans Mint.
The market has really spanked MS Barbers. How could you not buy a great piece like this at today’s prices? Got dupes? Trade or sell them and buy a coin like this!
