50C 1937 ROANOKE PCGS MS68

A SUPERB GEM and totally original in every respect! A brilliant luster swirls over extremely smooth and perfect surfaces and boldly struck design devices. Touches of original and pretty amber-gold/pale green/pale reddish brown colors, mostly at the peripheries make the design elements standout in a near 3-D effect, especially in Sir Walter Raleigh’s beard and ruffled collar. The eye appeal is terrific! PCGS 19, NGC 38. Prior to this coin realizing $3,645.00 in our May Auction, the last PCGS MS68 to sell was CAC approved and realized $3,760 in February 2017.
