50C 1939 PCGS PR68

This amazing coin was from our December Regency sale and did not sell. We are scratching our heads. There is NOTHING wrong with it.

Here is the description only:

“FROM THE VALLEY VIEW COLLECTION

Virtually perfect! We are enamored by the quality and eye appeal of this killer piece. When you see it, your heart will pound!

Gorgeously toned and very high quality in terms of overall condition and stunning eye appeal. Ultra original with deeper original shades of orange, red, and violet around the periphery of the obverse, framing the clean and clear mirrored fields (clear mirrors are so important). The reverse has some splashes of gold and russet. Razor sharp devices stand out against the totally original surfaces, which are free of hairlines or unsightly haze that normally impairs the eye appeal of these early Proof Walkers.”

PCGS 51, NGC 79, CAC 23. We think this coin had the misfortune of another far LESSER looking coin being sold. Most examples have sold in the $4,000-$5,000 range. This stunning, high end example is more then worthy of our asking price.
