50C RHODE ISLAND PDS PCGS MS66 SET-GUTTAG

Matched ORIGINAL ANY Sets (Commems or Proof sets) are the last champion of numismatics in our opinion. There is so much value hidden with sets that are still intact. That’s why when ever we can, we’ll buy ANY great Commem or PR set we see. This set was easy to buy as it is a really SUPERB set. We cherry picked it from the Guttag Collection.

First, the P Mint is MS66+. The other two are MS66. Each coin is mostly silvery white with a trace of gold. A full booming luster also shows off remarkably clean and sleek surfaces. The details are all well struck. Each piece does have nice eye appeal.

The D+S each had only 15,000 minted while the P had 20,000. There are 473 MS66 P Mints-this is the ONLY MS66+ graded so far by PCGS. The D Mint has a PCGS pop of 448, and the S Mint has 208 in PCGS MS66 holders.

It is our strong opinion, that Commem sets like these are dirt cheap. The biggest problem they have suffered from is clearly gradeflation. As time goes on, we believe that WILL be rectified and sets like this WILL become worth what they should be-substantially more!
