5C 1868 PCGS MS66+
Now this is date and grade that are seldom seen. No question about the quality.
The surfaces are remarkably clean and smooth. We did use a powerful glass to seek out any imperfections-and we found NONE. The luster is moderate. Both sides are a totally original deeper nickel color. The reverse has light pale gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. The details stand out with crisp bold strikes. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 42, NGC 34, CAC 12. PCGS has graded 7 in MS66+ with just 2 coins higher. The last PCGS CAC MS66+ sold for a whopping $6,462.00 02/2016. Prior to that , none had sold since 2014. We actually do pay attention looking for coins like this. The last regular PCGS MS 66 CAC Legend owned was back in 2014. We know how hard pieces like this are to find. We feel the pops are misleading. The market really spanked this date and grade in a guilt by association way. Opportunity knocks loud here!
