5C 1870 PCGS MS66+
This coin is so legitimately close to MS67. We never see this date looking this good!
Only a small and well hidden lint mark is what we think keeps it from that designation. Everything else about the surfaces is pretty much perfect. There are a few light die cracks visible only when using a strong glass. The surfaces texture is sleek and satiny. The luster is surprisingly strong. Both sides are a totally original deep nickel colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Every detail is fully struck and offers delicate frost. The eye appeal is exceptional!
PCGS 16, NGC 5, CAC 8. PCGS has graded 7 in MS66+. There re NONE graded higher at PCGS! The last auction record for one selling-is from 2015. That coin brought $7,637.50. We bought our coin really right and are passing on the deal to our customers.
