5C 1880 PCGS MS65

No question coin is a MS and not a proof! VERY HIGH END quality. The MS stopper for the series! The surfaces are amazingly clean and offer only faint hints of semi-prooflike mirrors. Overall, the surfaces appear satiny.  A decent luster shows off pale original nickel/pale gold/pale lavender colors. There are NO problem spots or discolorations. This coin is NOT drab or ugly. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 7, NGC 4, CAC 2. There are 2 NON beaned MS66’s.  This coin had sold in the Gardner Sale in June 2014 for $88,125.00. We purchased it for a collector who since has sold his Type  Set (which this was included in).  There is another PCGS MS65 CAC which sold in 2017 for $56,400.00.  If you want a beaned GEM, this coin may be your only chance! As many collectors know, in true GEM this date is incredibly rare. This may be your only opportunity for years to buy a PCGS CAC GEM. The market certainly has come down on this coin.
