5C 1888 PCGS PR67
Much to our surprise, this is only the second PR67 example of this date we have ever owned. The last one was over 10 years ago! The extreme rarity of this date in PR67 can not be over stated.
Sensational flashy, clean, crystal clear, and surprisingly reflective mirrors cover both sides. A gorgeous mix of pale purple/lilac/light gold blend together in a fashion that will make your jaw drop. A few teenie toning spots are visible when imaged or viewed under a glass, but not to the naked eye. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have delicate frost. The eye appeal is absolutely mind boggling!
PCGS 5, NGC 9. NONE have been graded higher by either service. The last PCGS PR67 to be in major auction brought $3,881.00 in 11/04 (that almost 5 full years ago) Heritage. If you collect PR67 Liberty Nickels, this is a coin you do not want to miss as it will years before you see another!
The image does not show the colors well or the coins intense flash. Take our word on it-the quality is all there!
