5C 1889 PCGS PR65

For an 1889, this sure does border PR66 quality (89’s do not come like a 1900’s date).

Surprisingly generous and flashy mirrors highlight both sides (1889’s are famous for dull mirrors). They are clear and clean. A beautiful mix of lavender/pale violet swirls vividly (this is NOT dull or blotchy color). There are NO spots hidden anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

PCGS 188, NGC 187, CAC 9. We think an all PR65 CAC set is a great project to build today. Even though the mintages are somewhat high, it won’t be an easy set to build!
