This is a HIGH END PR67 example of this date. It certainly is a “stopper” in the series!
Deep and clean mirrors have excessive flash and bold reflection. They are also flawless (save for a single planchet flaw on the reverse) and have a superior clarity. The details are crisply executed. Both sides display a gorgeous and original pastel iridescent patina that adds to the impressive visual allure.
PCGS 6, NGC 9, CAC 5. Prior to this coin selling, the most recent example to sell in auction realized $7,200 in November 2017 and the current PCGS value is $5,000. Keep in mind that we just sold a 67+ for over $15,000 in our September 2019 Regency Auction.
We got lucky and bough this coin too cheaply. Opportunity knocks loud here!
