In the pre certification days, finding a GEM 1909 was nearly a miracle. We have not seem any GEM 1909’s like this. Its just a few ticks away from being holy grail!
Superb surfaces appear clean and sleek overall. Only when using a strong glass can you see a microscopic tick/contact mark or two. This coin is a legit MS66+. A full booming luster beams intensely from all over. The color is pure original nickel. Miss Liberty and the detail are frosty and are fully struck. You do not need a glass to see the full corn on the reverse. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 25, NGC 10, CAC 9. PCGS has graded 7 in MS66+ with only 1 coin finer (MS67). The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $3,408.00 06/2019. Seems like such a reasonable value.
