$1 1886 PCGS PR67+ CAC. An amazing way to end this totally matched original set. Magnificent everything. While the colors are a little darker, the blast from the mirrors is not held back in any way. Every detail stands out with a full lightly frosted strike. A WOW coin for sure! PCGS 3, NGC 7, CAC 2. There are possibly only 2 in PR67+
Only 886 sets possibly were ever minted. We doubt if fewer than a dozen even survive intact-in ANY grade. The current Collectors Universe value for the set is $45,100.00. Our cost on this set is MORE than that. There is a small 5-10% set premium when they come like this. This set we placed years ago. It deserves a good long term home. it has been our strong opinion a set like this is UNDERrated by a mile. We have always believed that Matched original Proof sets are the LAST FRONTIER in numismatics. Plus to get an all CAC set? IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!
