G $1 1856 SLANTED 5 PCGS MS66

We are always amazed when we find these smaller coins in such lofty states of preservation after surviving for 162 years. This coin is SUPERB and is VERY high end.

Outstanding surfaces are just that. The surfaces are seriously clean and are satiny smooth. Only when using a strong glass can you see a microscopic tick-frost break (the surfaces really are that clean). A moderate to strong luster beams from all over. Both sides are a beautiful and totally original deep yellow gold color with highlights of reddish gold (by the UN on the obverse is toning-not a spot). There are NO spots or discolorations anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and standout with pinpoint sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 11, NGC 4, CAC 6. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $5,280.00 01/2019.  Prior to that one brought $5,780.00 02/2018. Do not be fooled by the pops, this is an extremely difficult date to find in SUPERB GEM. PCGS has graded only 5 coin higher. This very pretty coin will be a great addition to any GEM Type or Gold Dollar set.
