G$1 1881 PCGS MS67+

$3,850.00

Not only is this coin VERY HIGH END, it is also a borderline PL piece!

Sensational surfaces do exhibit good mirrors on the obverse and partial on the reverse. Most important: all of the surfaces are super clean. The mirrors have exceptional clarity and strong flash. A strong luster adds to the eye appeal too. Both sides are a wonderful original bright yellow gold color with a faint hint of orange gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is sensational!

PCGS 94, NGC 64, CAC 36. PCGS has graded 9 in MS67+.  The last PCGS CAC MS67+ to sell in auction brought $4,465.00 06/2019. It had a little stronger mirrors. This date can come nice-there are 40 in MS68 (and they are worth $12,000.00+).

We just love the fact this is a sensational example of an obsolete 138 year old smaller gold coin. To be able to own it so far UNDER $5,000.00 just seems too cheap (in our opinion). Opportunity knocks loud here!
