G $1 1882 PCGS MS68 EX SIMPSON

This is yet another eye popping duplicate piece from the Simpson Collection. One look and you will understand why it had been included in the set. It hard to imagine there is anything better!

Outrageous surfaces are pristine. There clearly are semi-prooflike mirrors that mix with an intense booming luster all over. Both sides are a totally original gold with pinkish/greenish gold highlights. There are a few light copper toning dots visible only with a glass (proves the coins originality). Miss Liberty and the details look like they were crafted by a surgeons scalpel! The detail are also frosted and appeal boldly. The eye appeal is amazing!

ONLY 5000 were ever minted. PCGS 11, NGC 15, CAC 11. Teh last one to sell in auction was the coin that replaced this. We paid $16,450.00 08/2015. Yes, there really is $4,000.00 difference for color! Regardless, we picked this coin for inclusion for the #1 Gold Dollar set for a reason!
