G$1 1859 PCGS MS66+

This is a beautiful totally original SUPERB GEM! We re always amazed how these smaller coins survive in such a pristine condition as this.

Impeccable surfaces are super clean and satiny smooth overall. Only using a really strong glass and looking hard can you find a tiny scuff/tick or two. No question this coin is totally not messed with. There are two tiny copper stains on the obverse proving the originality. A strong luster boldly illuminates the coin from all over. Both sides have a beautiful and natural even gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 7, NGC 5, CAC 7. PCGS has graded only 3 coins in MS66+ with 3 in MS67. The last MS66+ to sell in auction brought $5,040.00 04/2018. Look at the value you get here: on obsolete denomination, a top grade GEM gold coin. A not messed with gold coin, and a coin that is 160 years old. We think a coin like this should be an easy $10,000.00. Time (as fewer can be found) will change the markets view point.
