Legend Numismatics is proud to offer one of the finest Half Cents known-this 1809 specimen from the world class Missouri Cabinet. This coin  is everything and then some that you expect. there is no such thing as a finer 1809! Outstanding surfaces are extremely clean and smooth. There is one small grease stain on reverse. There actually is a light glowing gloss like  luster. Both sides are a crisp original deeper milk chocolate color. There are some hidden patches of red. The reverse has a patch of darker colors. We do not think this coin has been camel brushed or messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is fabulous! PCGS 1, NGC 2, CAC 1. This coin last sold in 2014 for $63,250.00. It has been with the same owner ever since. Important to note: a MS65+ BN CAC sold for $80,500.00 at the same sale.
