How in the world did this coin survive 165 years in such a pristine condition? We marvel at this coin every time we see it.
Virgin surfaces have no ticks, lines, or frost breaks of any kind (even if a strong glass is used). The luster is moderate like it is on most BN’s. Both sides are a gorgeous even chocolate brown color. The reverse has some faded Mint red. There are NO spots or discolorations to be found anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and boldly stand out. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 63, NGC 112, CAC 36. The last one to sell in auction brought $900.00. This coin was handpicked for the Grayson collection a few years ago. All the hard work was done so you can enjoy this great coin!
