H.10 1792 PCGS XF 40 EX COL GREEN/NEWMAN

For almost a decade we had been searching for GEM circ Half Disme. This was the BEST coin we found after rejecting dozens (save for an PCGS MS64 CAC). Of course a few months later, our customer has now decided to collect another area!  We assure you, finding another one like this (especially NOT messed with)  that is CAC will take forever. This coin is of the highest quality for an XF. To start, this coin is struck on a problem free planchet. There are no problems any where. Even when using a strong glass the most you can see is is a tiny line or two on the reverse. Most important, this coin is original and does not appear to have ever seen messed with. The surfaces are a deeper original pewter gray with a light mix of pale purple green (when you tile the coin).  While there is wear visible, its even and there is still good detail on all the all of the devices. The eye appeal is terrific! PCGS 5, NGC 4, CAC 3 (this coin is 2X as it was NGC). It sold for $132,000.00 11/2017. It also should be noted a PCGS CAC VF25 sold for $99,875.00 in 2016. The vast majority of these historical piece have been cleaned or messed with in some way. Because of that prices can vary hugely (at most CAC has beaned a total of 10 of these in all grades). This coin is from the famous Col Green Collection that was purchased intact by the late Eric Newman. Further, it is believed these pieces were personally handled/distributed by BOTH George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.  All that makes for an  incredible pedigree!
