We think its remarkable how these tiny coins can survive 222+ years and be in really wonderful condition like this.
Only when using a strong glass can you see a few small and widely scattered ticks. There are NO scrapes or large impairments. Some minor die clashing is visible. A light glossy like luster can be detected. The toning is an even deeper (NOT black) original olive/steel color. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The Eagle is worn-however it should be noted we have handled MS65 coins that are the same. It is due to poor striking. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 6, NGC 2, CAC 3. NO AU 50-55 PCGS CAC pieces have ever sold via auction. The rarity for these coins in true nice condition is off the charts. Opportunity knocks loud here for the suffering collector seeking a nice piece!
